Southgate and Leigh is a songwriting team made up of Phil Southgate, composer and keyboard player and Phillipa Leigh, lyrist and singer.
After performing covers of jazz, blues and soul at venues ranging from Ronnie Scotts to busking on the London Underground, Phil and Phillipa formed “Southgate and Leigh”. In 2010 they wrote and released their debut album, “Where We Are”, of 12 critically acclaimed original songs including “Reena” which was named single of the week by Debbie McQuoid at Cosmopolitan and featured on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Introducing. “Where We Are” is currently available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and from southgateandleigh.com
